Curiosity Seeds that catch hold of what nature does
These cards ask about scenes you see often in nature but easily pass by, like shadows, waves, and rainbows.
Copy it onto the Curiosity Exploration sheet, and you can carry on from the scene you see all the way to how you'll find out.
How it works
- From the cards, pick a nature question you saw outside today or one that came to mind.
- Write the question on the Curiosity Exploration sheet, and first write down what you already know.
- Decide how you'll go about it: observe it yourself, or look it up in a book or a video.
- After looking into it, write in the last space what changed from your first thoughts.
When · with whom
Good right after you've just been out in nature, like after a walk or after rain, and it also works as an observation journal.
Nature curiosity seeds
- Why does my shadow follow me around?
- Why do waves roll in and then pull back?
- Why do rainbows so often appear after rain?
- How do dandelion seeds fly so far?
- Why does the moon's shape change a little every day?
- How do ants find their way back without getting lost?
