Writing Together About Grown-Ups
With the word “grown-up” between you
This is a conversation shared by taking turns writing, without speaking.
This sheet is about “grown-ups.” It's a topic that gets better the more differently you each write, so it's even more fun when a grown-up and a child sit down together.
How it works
- Agree not to say anything out loud.
- Start at ① and read in order, then take turns writing one line each in the left and right columns.
- Wait while the other person writes, without hurrying them along.
- Once you've both finished, read it all together from the beginning.
When · with whom
Two people sitting face to face do this. The more a topic tends to raise voices when spoken, the better it fits.
Three questions about "grown-ups"
- From when is a grown-up a grown-up?
- Is there a grown-up you'd like to resemble?
- What's good about being a grown-up?
