Sharing Death in Writing
Something a little deeper, taken slowly
This is a conversation shared by taking turns writing, without speaking.
This sheet is about “death.” It isn't handled heavily, and so it closes with how you'd like to spend today.
How it works
- Agree not to say anything out loud.
- Start at ① and read in order, then take turns writing one line each in the left and right columns.
- Wait while the other person writes, without hurrying them along.
- Once you've both finished, read it all together from the beginning.
When · with whom
Two people sitting face to face do this. The more a topic tends to raise voices when spoken, the better it fits.
Three questions about "death"
- When did you first think about death?
- Is there something you want to leave behind?
- Then how do you want to spend today?
