Sharing Beginnings in Writing
Things you haven't started yet
This is a conversation shared by taking turns writing, without speaking.
This sheet is about “starting.” Write down what keeps getting put off in talk, and it comes a little closer the moment you write it.
How it works
- Agree not to say anything out loud.
- Start at ① and read in order, then take turns writing one line each in the left and right columns.
- Wait while the other person writes, without hurrying them along.
- Once you've both finished, read it all together from the beginning.
When · with whom
Two people sitting face to face do this. The more a topic tends to raise voices when spoken, the better it fits.
Three questions about "beginnings"
- Is there something you want to start right now?
- What is holding you back from starting?
- How did it feel the first time you tried?
