Drawing a Scene from Memory
A scene from a memory that stayed, its colors and places just as they were
It is one blank sheet, without a single line on it.
This is a place to draw one scene from a memory that stayed with you, in the colors and places of that day, just as they were.
It doesn't have to be drawn well, and it doesn't have to be finished.
How it works
- Lay out the paper and slowly bring to mind one memory that has stayed with you.
- Draw the colors and places of that day as you remember them. It's fine if it isn't drawn well, or if you stop partway.
- When you're done, ask yourself whether to keep holding on to this scene or let it go now.
When · with whom
A happy memory or a painful one, either is fine. If it gets hard while you draw, you can stop at any time.
